Can someone explain why is that humans have a natural instinct to do good to others?

Above the selfishness that we appear to have, their is a moment when we grow up that makes us care of others... Someone loved...(if you call it love)Can someone explain why is that humans have a natural instinct to do good to others?
Altruism is found in many animals, not just humans. No one understands exactly why any animal would do something beneficial for another when there is no reward for themselves, but some have theorized that it has to do with the survival of the species as a whole. Can someone explain why is that humans have a natural instinct to do good to others?
The short answer: it's in our genes after hundred thousand years or so of facing a hostile environment. Survival meant keeping your family unit or tribe in a healthy condition to prolong your species.
For the most part unselfish love and

empathy is taught, not caught as your

question implies. Without role modelling

and instruction, human nature will sink

to a lower level. You don't have to teach

children to misbehave.
because we were genetically engineered to do so by a group of alien beings called God 5000 years ago
Nurture is Nature... it's not just in humans that we see these qualities. We (as animals) want to reproduce.
I believe is because we feel that they are hurt, and someway some how we think about us being in that position, so we try to make that person somehow good
