I know this may seem somewhat of a gross topic, but anyone that says this isn't true is in denial or obviously isn't paying attention. So whats your answer to this ?Other then natural instinct, why do humans and animals examine their feces after defecating ?
well, depending on the species, most animals observe there waste for a sign of health, dogs lets say smell theirs and notice theres not enough fiber and turn around and eat some grass, or other fiberous materialOther then natural instinct, why do humans and animals examine their feces after defecating ?
i would guess it to be pure curiosity...kinda like why people postmortem...curiosity to evaluate self.but i think animals may have a different purpose but i cant remember what..also human examination of feces can help determine cause of death and the individuals living health.
Well for humans they are looking for blood which can be a sign of all kinds of internal problems. Why animal would do it is to see where it is so they can hid and other predators can't find them at least that is what cats do.
I don't do that! Why would you want to examine it?
