How long will it take Natural Instincts hair dye to wash out?

My friend has medium brown hair and she dyed it a dark reddish colour for a project. On the box it says not to wash your hair 24 hours after you have dyed your hair, for best results.

She washed her hair many times a few hours after she dyed it with the natural instincts hair dye.

Do you think that the dye will be easier to wash out because of this?

And, from your experience, does your hair colour return to its natural shade? How long will it take Natural Instincts hair dye to wash out?
It's stupid and nonsensical that they say not to wash your hair for 24 hours. You have to in order to stop the chemical processing. I imagine if your friend hadn't washed it, then it would have gotten much darker. This particular brand seems to fade quickly, but only in hue, not in tone.

It won't ever return to the natural color. It will fade to a brassy dark brown though, and she should use a sulfate free shampoo and conditioner to keep the red looking nice. Color me sexy, or Organic sexy hair (sexy hair concepts) are both great lines that I use to keep my red lasting longer. How long will it take Natural Instincts hair dye to wash out?
I personally have never used the product but have thought about it many times. My friend uses it she has brown hair and dyes it a dark brown color with the same product. I always notice her hair color never goes back to her natural color but it def fades. She dyes it every month to keep it the dark color.
from my personal experience, it will fade but not wash out completely with a few washes.

you will have to wait around a month and a half.

it should fade and return to it's natural color by then.

to speed up the process a bit, try using shampoo that is not ';color safe';.
You could use colour oops which takes it out or go to a hair salon . It will probibly take 28 washes , use babyshampoo it naturally strips the hair gently taking out the colour .
28 washes.

the warmer the water the faster.

it will fade over time though, not all at once.
