Is it a natural instinct for a parsons jack russell to kill chickens even if brought up from a pup with them?

I have kept dogs and chickens before (Mongrel and Lasso Apso) and had no problems but wondered if it is a particular trait with a jack russells. Also are they known for chasing cats if living in same house???Is it a natural instinct for a parsons jack russell to kill chickens even if brought up from a pup with them?
Russell are terriers which are bred to kill rabbits and the like,

the name comes from terre which means of the earth ie terre fermerIs it a natural instinct for a parsons jack russell to kill chickens even if brought up from a pup with them?
hiya, it does not matter about them being brought up as a pup in your house. its breed in them to kill.they have been know to kill a small dog,and cats.you can't train them not to do it.
Terriers like parsons were bred to have a strong prey drive as they were meant to kill rats/rabbits etc. You will need to keep this in check if you have chickens and never leave alone unsupervised.
Most terriers have the Natural instinct to kill my friend.
geeze louise... :( thats sad... i like chickens... u should prolly keep it penned up... :)
