Outside of breathing, and basic body functions, what is our only natural instinct?

Everybody always says they have natural a survival instinct, but I disagree, I think that is not an instinct, it has been taught to us. If it was, then babies when they were born could survive on their own without any help... What do you think?Outside of breathing, and basic body functions, what is our only natural instinct?
Nursing in newborns is the only natural human instinct. The problem is the term ,instinct, has migrated from the scientific vocabulary to the speech of everyday life. We use the term in so many ways that its meaning has become vague. The same problem has occurred in scientific discourse. As a result, the term instinct has dropped out of favor. Psychologists now prefer the term fixed-action patterns, which is defined as unlearned behavior patterns that occur throughout a species and are triggered by identifiable stimuli. By the way, breathing and body functions are not instincts.Outside of breathing, and basic body functions, what is our only natural instinct?
You're confusing instinct with ability. Babies are born with a survival instinct and it is manifest in the ways that they engage their mothers. If allowed, a baby just born placed on it's mother's belly will work its way to her breast and begin feeding. That's why babies cry when Mommy is missing. They know they need Mommy to survive.

Oh, and I believe we also have an instinct to procreate. Even though modern society has separated in their minds sex from birth, the sex drive is all about reproduction.
i disagree to a certain point, we all learn things tht eventually become a natural reflex, but a baby if for instance was abondoned then wud nt b able to survive but every baby crys for milk wen it is hungry tht is natural so the baby wud cry for tis mothers milk. we adapt to our surroundings but we are born with survival instincts
survival is a natural instinct. In nature, where parents might care for their young, some will survive without a parent's care. It is however, survival of the fittest. Babies are not the fittest, they are the weakest and most vunerable.
Fear is a natural instinct.Fight or flee responce.
Wrong.

Babies are born when they are because that's the latest point the human reproductive system can support them. Had we remained quadrupeds they wouldn't be popping out until about 27 months after gestation.
We have many instincts, but they can be untaught to us. The instincts can be driven out of us by experiences. The will to survive, for example. !@#$ing, fight or flight.
A baby anything is incapable of surviving on its own. All newborns need their mother for survival. I feel that all humans are granted the instinct to hunt fo food when hungry and to eat. Eating is an instinct to stay alive. Another is drinking and I don't mean alcohol. We are also granted the instinct to drink water or milk of any kind to stay alive.
