Is common sense and natural instinct the same.....?

or quite similar...?Is common sense and natural instinct the same.....?
id say they're similar, but not the same...

i think that common sense involves some degree of rational thinking and problem solving, whereas I associate natural instinct more with primal behaviors that dont require any thought process...

interesting question =)Is common sense and natural instinct the same.....?
Natural instinct and common sense are not the sense. Natural instinct sometimes applies to reflexes where as common sense implies the one should think.
I would think that common sense is a learned trait..and based upon the culture/environment you grew up in

natural instinct is..well instinct even a child who grew up with dogs has it.
I would say no.

Instinct is something that you do without thinking about it--it's more of a ';need.'; For example, the need to eat, to survive, to reproduce. These are things we feel no matter what and are ingrained into us.

However, common sense is the ability to solve a problem by using past experiences or knowledge without coaching. It can almost be compared to someone's ability to learn as well. These are things you know, but you weren't BORN knowing.
